The Role
As our Science Teacher, you will deliver high:quality, engaging lessons tailored to students with social communication and sensory processing needs. Your focus is on the whole child:their welfare and outcomes are just as important as their academic progress.
What youll be doing:

Personalising Science: Differentiating the National Curriculum to spark curiosity in students with a wide range of needs.

Collaborating: Working with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure every student has a cohesive support plan.

Mentoring: Supervising support staff and providing subject leadership across the school.

Planning for Success: Using short, medium, and long:term plans to create a stable, structured learning environment.
About You
You dont need to be an SEND expert yet:we value your subject knowledge and your passion for teaching. We are looking for:

QTS/PGCE: You must be a Qualified Teacher.
*
Resilience: The ability to stay calm, reflective, and non:confrontational in challenging moments.
*
Creativity: A knack for making Science accessible and exciting for students with complex needs.
*
A Commuters Mindset: Due to our beautiful (but rural) location, a driving license is highly desirable.
