Job Details
* Location: Great Western Hospital, Swindon, SN3 6BB
* Contract: Permanent, Full-time (10 sessions/week)
* Salary: £59,175 - £95,400 per annum
* Specialty: Radiology
Role Overview
The Trust aims to deliver top-quality services and be the preferred hospital. We focus on patient satisfaction, community outreach, and embedding services within our locality.
Responsibilities
* Deliver screening and symptomatic breast imaging services, including mammogram interpretation, clinics, and interventions (e.g., ultrasound, stereotactic biopsies).
* Conduct clinical exams and develop diagnostic plans.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Manage patient care, undertake audits, and engage in research.
* Adhere to clinical governance and develop family history clinics.
Professional and Clinical Governance
Work within GMC guidelines, participate in clinical effectiveness activities, and ensure compliance with NHS standards and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* MBBS or equivalent, GMC registered.
* Credential in Breast Disease (training in final three months accepted).
* Desirable: MRCP, MSc, PhD, or MD; research experience; teaching involvement.
* Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and audit knowledge.
* Understanding of NHS values, ethics, and confidentiality.
