Overview
Senior Advisor - Future Agriculture - Environmental Land Management - 31666
Responsibilities
* Provide advice in meetings, manage commissions, deliver and oversee Programme milestones, and identify future risks and resource requirements across CSHT and ELM initiatives.
* Influence the design and delivery of incentives within the wider context of shaping EA's response to government reviews.
* Deliver key CSHT products for the Farming and Countryside Programme and contribute to continuous improvement of the scheme through its design and delivery.
* Work across teams and organisations with senior leaders to articulate a scheme that supports and delivers outcomes.
* Be part of the Environment Agency ELM team within the Nature & Place Directorate, collaborating with government, statutory bodies and industry in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Experience and qualifications
* Experience of Agriculture and working with Defra and other statutory bodies is essential.
* Politically aware with excellent communication and networking skills.
* Understanding environmental sensitivities associated with significant agriculture sector reform.
* Experience interpreting/evaluating evidence to propose risk-based solutions.
* Ability to prioritise and deliver complex work; self-starter who develops and advances ideas.

Additional information
* Base location: EA Office; flexible/hybrid in England; some travel/overnights required.
* Remote working with dispersed team; use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel.
