External Funding Bid Writer - Ref: RT03325 at Walsall Council. Grade: G10; £45,091 - £50,269. Fixed Term Until 31/03/2027 with potential for extension. Shape the Future of Our Borough.
Are you ready to make a real impact and transform our community? We’re seeking a passionate External Funding Bid Writer to drive economic regeneration across the borough.
Responsibilities
* Hybrid working: option to work primarily remotely.
* Identify funding opportunities and brief colleagues/partners to develop project ideas into quality proposals.
* Collaborate with project managers and finance experts to develop compelling funding bids.
* Support the creation of robust project plans and bid documents.
* Review grant agreements and monitoring requirements; hand over successful bids for implementation and track impact.
* Respond to funder queries and navigate the journey from idea to delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience developing and writing significant winning funding bids with funders (e.g., Lottery providers, government departments).
* Passion for project development and superb partnership-building skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet tight deadlines with a supportive team.
* Outstanding written, communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
