HGV Technician Needed in Preston
1. Location: Preston
2. Working Hours: Days: Rolling 4 on 4 off shift 7am-7pm, Nights: Fixed TUE - FRI
3. Salary: £45K plus benefits
4. Holiday: 23 days pls bank holidays. Option to purchase more too!
Looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our client's depot in Preston on a full-time, permanent basis, working either a day shift or night shift. You would work either our 4 on 4 off shift, 42 hours per week, or nights, 45.25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities for the HGV Technician:
5. Service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles to a high standard
6. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
7. Conduct MOT preparations, ensuring vehicles meet regulatory standards
8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area
9. Communicate effectively with team members and management
10. Keep records of all work completed and report any additional repairs needed
What We’re Looking For:
11. HGV Technician with strong experience and a Level 3 (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) qualification in HGV maintenance and repair
12. Time-served experience working with large commercial vehicles
13. Full UK driving licence (Class 1 Licence preferred)
14. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
15. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
