Overview
AXA UK is seeking a Functional Architect in Birmingham, United Kingdom. You will capture defined processes, functions and feature requirements based on business ideas to contribute to the IT strategy, and provide technical impact analysis to ensure solutions comply with AXA frameworks.
AXA UK supports flexible working arrangements. We aim for a balance between home and office time. The role currently requires 40% away from home (two days a week), with potential to increase to 60% (three days a week) in the future. Away from home may include attendance at office locations, client visits, or industry events. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing
* Gathering business requirements including objectives, required features and functionality within the plan phase
* Classifying requirements, functions and features into must-have, important, and nice-to-have to drive user experience improvements
* Delivering business and high-level IT impact analysis to inform decision-making
* Providing options and assessment for different routes to market
* Contributing to the development of the business case
* Developing process and requirements analysis to align with target enterprise architecture
* Monitoring the delivery of business requirements across the lifecycle and contributing to post-implementation reviews to ensure mandatory features are delivered
* Contributing to prioritisation and development of IT plan and budget
What you’ll bring
* Previous Senior Business Analysis or Business Architecture experience, with significant IT strategy/architecture experience in a large commercial organisation
* Commercial/business knowledge to understand and integrate business and IT strategies
* Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation and influencing abilities at senior management level
* Ability to document business requirements into technical language
* Understanding of systems lifecycles, methodologies and system integration
* Track record of collaboration and reuse of solutions in global organisations
* Ability to manage a demanding workload
* TOGAF Certified or equivalent is desirable
