About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support—both in the classroom and through one-to-one or small group work.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special educational needs in their learning and personal development.
Assist with implementing individual education and care plans.
Provide personal care support where required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion.
Foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with individuals with SEN is essential.
Comfortable and confident providing personal care.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
