Role
Remote Business Development Manager – New Build
Responsibilities
* Proactively drive sales for new build mortgage applications, ensuring policies and risk requirements are understood and applied.
* Support commercial, product and proposition aspects of new and existing partnerships, providing feedback to Secured Lending UK colleagues.
* Deliver a consistently strong customer experience and service levels for intermediary partners, working effectively with internal teams including Credit/Property Risk, Underwriting Services and the wider SLUK function.
* Build, manage and grow multiple external relationships at all levels, maintaining credibility and influence across partner organisations.
* Demonstrate strong risk and conduct management, adhering to relevant regulation, monitoring sales/credit quality and risk KPIs, and ensuring key controls are in place over intermediary activity.
Qualifications
* Extensive knowledge of secured mortgage products, including relevant policies and procedures.
* Strong understanding of the UK intermediary mortgage market, ideally with experience of New Build propositions.
* Proven experience managing partner relationships remotely (telephone-led), identifying and developing new business opportunities, and influencing and negotiating effectively.
* Demonstrated track record of delivering excellent customer service and proactively improving service through innovative, practical changes.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with evidence of building effective internal/external networks, managing complex customer relationships, and developing compelling, fair and ethical business propositions that attract and retain customers.
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid working role with the base location as either Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow, Birmingham or Swansea. The successful candidate must be able to commute to one of these locations.
