* Plan, deliver and assess a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential through the delivery of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum including bespoke timetables where necessary
* Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviours, which are expected of students
* Build good working relationships with the whole team including being able to identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them

Commitment to safeguarding

Safeguarding is at the centre of all that we do at the Deaf Academy. Our Safeguarding Lead is James Heaver, who is supported by three Deputies and the wider welfare team, but everyone has an important role to play in safeguarding the welfare of our students and every single member of staff completes compulsory safeguarding training.
