What is the job role?
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to lead the operational delivery of Streetscene services across the city and support the Strategic Streetpride Manager in shaping a cleaner, greener, better Coventry.
Your will be responsible for the effective management of street cleansing, grounds maintenance and associated public realm functions, ensuring the consistent achievement of service standards.
The role requires the translation of strategic priorities into operational plans, effective resource deployment, and robust performance management. The postholder will contribute to the development of service level agreements, provide technical and operational advice, and support continuous improvement through service review and data‑driven decision‑making.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners, elected members and community stakeholders to address local priorities.
Responsibilities also include budget management, compliance with health and safety requirements, staff leadership, supporting continuous improvement and helping set medium and long‑term service standards.

Who are we looking for?
You will bring:
1. Proven leadership experience in operational service delivery, ideally in a public realm, environmental or neighbourhood services setting.
2. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to turn priorities into practical, deliverable plans.
3. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with communities, partners and elected members.
4. A commitment to high standards, continuous improvement and customer-focused service.
5. Experience managing budgets, resources and performance in a complex operational environment.
6. A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
