As our next IT Service Desk Engineer, you’ll play a key role in making that happen. Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:
Windows Server & Azure
* Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
* Manage and optimise Azure infrastructure including VMs, Virtual Networks, Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Azure Monitor.
* Own patching, capacity planning, and lifecycle management for all server workloads.
* Implement and maintain hybrid identity solutions bridging on‑premises AD and Azure AD.
* Ensure infrastructure resilience through backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and regular testing.
Device Management – Intune & Autopilot
* Administer Microsoft Intune for policy deployment, compliance enforcement, and application distribution across Windows endpoints.
* Manage Windows Autopilot profiles and deployment configurations to deliver zero‑touch provisioning for new devices.
* Build and maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, and remediation scripts.
* Troubleshoot device enrolment, compliance failures, and software deployment issues end‑to‑end.
Google Workspace (GWS)
* Serve as a hands‑on administrator for Google Workspace covering user lifecycle, groups, Shared Drives, Gmail routing, and security settings.
* Configure and maintain GWS integrations with third‑party identity and productivity tools.
* Respond to GWS incidents, audit log alerts, and data‑loss‑prevention events.
Security & Identity
* Partner with the Security team to enforce endpoint compliance, patch cadences, and data‑protection policies.
* Support identity governance through SSO, MFA enforcement, and access reviews.
It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:
* Few years of hands‑on experience in an infrastructure or systems engineering role.
* Deep expertise with Windows Server administration including AD DS, GPO, DNS, & DHCP.
* Proven experience managing Azure workloads including IaaS, Azure AD / Entra ID, and associated security controls.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot in an enterprise environment.
* Experience administering Google Workspace at an organisational level.
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, firewalls).
* Strong communicator able to translate technical constraints into plain language for non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
* Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104 or MS‑102.
* PowerShell for scripting, automation, and reporting.
