Job Summary
Following the success of a trial of a team of digital trainers to support extensive programmes of work to digitise frontline functions, a permanent team of 3 Digital Trainers is being established.
This exciting opportunity will result in a Digital Trainer within each of our operational service areas, supporting both corporate and frontline staff to make best use of the systems made available to them.
Improving the digital skills of the workforce will have a direct positive impact on productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in using digital solutions and the implementation of digital solutions in the future.
Main duties of the job
Technology continues to evolve rapidly and is ever-present in our daily activities. Therefore, the demand for a workforce with the required digital skills to operate effectively is increasing.
The new team will focus on:
1. Identifying training needs and providing tailored, essential training in clinical and non-clinical systems for new starters and existing staff as required.
2. Producing training resources for new projects and initiatives being implemented by the digital team.
3. Developing a job role digital skills competency framework.
4. Developing effective digital communication channels and innovative engagement events to engage staff in digital skills while also signposting individuals to existing resources both locally and nationally.
The team will need to be proactive, engaging with end users to identify knowledge and skills gaps, and developing bespoke materials or providing ad hoc training as needed, even in demanding operational environments.
