We are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Reading from September 2025. This full-time opportunity involves teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential support at Key Stage 5 for GCSE and A-Level groups. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity, critical analysis, and technical skill in students by designing rich and varied art programmes.
The department features spacious studios, digital art suites, a darkroom, and a ceramics kiln. Students showcase their work regularly in school exhibitions and local galleries. The school promotes cross-disciplinary links, encouraging Art to engage with STEM, textiles, and humanities subjects, while also supporting public-facing projects such as community murals and cultural events.
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in Art or Fine Art
• Experience delivering Art curriculum to KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous
• Proficient in a range of media including digital, painting, sculpture, and printmaking
• Committed to encouraging student-driven exploration and artistic growth
• Eligible to work in the UK
