Job responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your primary focus will be to deliver excellent personal care, ensuring the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of the residents. You will be responsible for assisting residents with their personal hygiene, recognizing and escalating clinical risks, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors. You will work as part of a close-knit team, contributing to the continuity of care and practicing safe systems of work.
* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalating identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
