We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist to be the first point of contact for one of our Clients in SW London. The ideal candidate will have an enhanced DBS on the update service. This role is crucial in managing our front desk and associated administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the school environment.
Immediate start until 18th July - 7.45am - 3.15pm Monday to Friday
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, handling a variety of tasks including answering the telephone, taking messages, and operating electronic gates.
2. Manage the electronic gate and lunch card system, including issuing, monitoring, and recording cards for staff, pupils in 6th form, and visitors. Also responsible for ordering additional covers, cards, or ribbons as needed.
3. Take pupil and staff ID photos where required.
4. Ensure all visitors' IDs are seen and that safeguarding procedures are followed.
5. Manage the out-of-class system by calling the person on duty to attend to requests from teachers.
6. Operate the cashless catering system; receipting and inputting cash when boys pay at reception, reconciling end-of-day reports, and cashing up.
7. Sort and distribute external and internal mail, manage franking, and handle post and parcels. Ensure the franking machine is topped up and supplied with consumables.
