About the Role:
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working under the guidance of experienced educators to support children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will assist in the classroom, help manage behaviour, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment tailored to each pupil’s needs.
This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in education and receive training and support from Vision for Education and the partner school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis under the direction of the class teacher.
* Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities.
* Promote inclusion and encourage the participation of pupils in classroom activities.
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Support the personal development and well-being of pupils.
About You:
* A genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
* A willingness to learn and undertake training.
* Previous experience in a care, support, or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
* A clear enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
