Are you an experienced and motivated doctor with a passion for breast surgery? We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery to join our dynamic and expanding team at Royal Stoke University Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
This is a 6-month fixed-term position with a view to extend, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their experience in a supportive and progressive surgical unit.
About the Role
As a Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, including involvement in advanced surgical techniques, oncoplastic procedures, and participation in teaching and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive care for breast surgery patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and surgical management
* Support consultants in elective and emergency surgical procedures
* Participate in outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings
* Engage in audit, quality improvement, and educational activities
* Supervise and support junior medical staff
What We’re Looking For
* GMC registration with a license to practice
* Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience, including at least 2 years in breast or general surgery
* Demonstrated interest or further training in breast surgery, including oncoplastic techniques (desirable)
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
* Commitment to continuous professional development
