Description
DAC Beachcroft is looking to recruit a Group Tax Accountant to join our Finance Team, based from any of our UK offices.
You will support the Head of Tax with UK and international compliance, including corporate, partnership and VAT returns, HMRC accounts and payments, and wider international tax administration. The role also offers the chance to contribute to key projects, governance improvements, and strategic tax advice across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and submission of UK Corporate & UK Partnership Tax Returns
* Monitoring S455
* Preparation of the Tax Note for inclusion on the Statutory Accounts
* Maintenance of new AI costings software for the main UK LLP
* Preparation of Singapore Partnership Return (Form P)
* Management of HMRC accounts and payments for the UK Corporates & UK VAT Group, including assisting with cash flow and budgeting figures
* Preparation of the UK Group VAT Return, Dublin VAT Return, Annual Return of Trade, EC Sales List, and Singapore GST Returns
* VAT return tasks including partial exemption and capital good scheme calculations, along with monthly maintenance of ICB invoices
* Calculation and submission of error correction forms
* Weekly review of Medusa billing, checking VAT treatment of invoices
* Responding to VAT queries from billing teams/partners
* Collating information for international compliance such as Dublin partnership, French Personal Tax Returns, 720 Forms, Miami Returns
* Overseeing international tax administration, e.g., US payrolling and HK tax compliance
* Applying for certificates of residence and managing W8 forms, including addressing related queries
* Assisting with reserves and taxable allocation calculations
* Participating in projects like Business Risk Reviews, Governance Improvements, and Group Structure Advice
* Managing tax compliance and internal deadlines independently, maintaining the Group Tax Team calendar/tasks list
* Staying updated with legislation changes and informing the Head of Tax
* Advising on BIK/PSA queries and listing benefits for PSA calculations
* Managing tax software such as Digita, OneSource, and ROS
* Communicating with HMRC on enquiries and reconciliations
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Qualified in Tax (accounting qualification desirable but not essential)
* Comfortable with ambiguity and dealing with grey areas
* Pragmatic approach—flexible and not overly rule-bound
* Self-starter, independent worker, proactive in seeking solutions
