Salary
Starting from £13.60 per hour plus an additional £62.64 per sleep, equating to £3,000–£6,000 per year extra.
Hours
Full time; 39 hours a week on a shift pattern that includes long days and sleep‑ins.
Personal Care
Personal care is required as part of this role.
Requirements
* Full UK driver’s licence.
* Experience in care such as adult LD, SEN education, medical or nursing care, elderly care or working with vulnerable people.
* Physically able to lift and use hoists; manual handling is part of this job.
* Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
* Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
* Work flexibly in shifts and sleep‑ins.
Responsibilities
* Provide a safe and loving home for children, working under the supervision of a registered manager.
* Act as a professional parent, give encouragement and praise.
* Provide emotional and physical support to help children reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations.
* Provide medical support including physio routines, medication, PEG feeding, moving and handling, hoists and lifting equipment.
* Build friendships and trusting relationships.
* Help them find pleasure in everyday tasks.
* Ensure a safe home environment: cleaning, laundry, cooking.
