The postholder will provide both professional leadership and operational management to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality social work and social care services for adults, older people, carers and communities across West Lothian. The service has a strong commitment of working collaboratively with individuals, to develop plans that maximise abilities and support choice, whilst identifying and minimising vulnerability and risks. The successful postholder will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and service improvements aligned with national legislation and local priorities to meet these outcomes. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007.
