Job Description
Precedo Healthcare have a fantastic opportunity for clinical support workers looking to develop their clinical skills on the frontline of various NHS services including acute care hospital wards, mental health settings and community based teams. The successful clinical support worker will work for our NHS clients who are based throughout the region.
Job requirements
* Assist qualified staff in the delivery of nursing care
* Record appropriate written documentation
* Assisting with patients’ physical and emotional needs, including personal care ensuring dignity is maintained for the patient at all times
* Assisting with patients’ mobility
* Assisting patients with their nutritional needs
* Assisting with turning, moving and repositioning of patients using manual aids where appropriate
* Participate in the admission of patients and preparing them for discharge
* Following hygiene and infection control procedures at all times
* To be aware of and work to the principles of the Mental Health Act (MHA) (Mental health settings only)
* To provide escort duties to the client under the direction of the nurse in charge (Mental health settings only)
* To participate in where required co-facilitate in therapeutic and social engagement group work (Mental health settings only)
* To document information to support mental state examination (Mental health settings only)
* To recognise potential crisis situations and act responsively and responsibly until assistance arrives (Mental health settings only)
Candidate requirements
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Minimum of 6 months Support Work experience in the NHS within the last 2 years
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Evidenced immunisation history to include Hepatitis B, MMR, TB and Varicella
* Candidate to cover cost of first DBS check (£50)
