About the Role
Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with knowledge of Building Services, Heating, or Energy projects? Join one of the UK's largest providers of turnkey solutions for the Energy sector, where no day will be the same.
Company Overview
This company employs hundreds across the UK and is a leading EPC business within Renewable Energy and Sustainability sectors. Projects include District Heating schemes, Solar PV, and Heat Pump installations. They plan to grow approximately 20% annually, supported by their reputation and commitment to staff development.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver mechanical designs for projects such as Energy-from-Waste plants, Energy Centre layouts, Plantrooms, Water Treatment systems, Boilers, Pumps, and Pipework.
* Support various project teams and contribute to business development, bids, and tenders.
* Review costs, lifecycle cost analysis, and interpret client requirements.
* Design equipment selection, perform calculations, and produce specifications.
* Assist in developing junior staff.
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Chartered status preferred).
* Proven experience in Mechanical Design for Heating, Energy, or Building Services projects.
* Strong knowledge of plantroom equipment, boilers, pipework, etc.
* Experience with Renewables is highly advantageous.
