This role is responsible for supporting lawyers in the various daily operations of the company’s Law Department. The Paralegal’s duties include conducting legal research and working directly with lawyers on litigation, transactional, ethics & compliance, or legal technology matters.

3. Works directly with lawyers to assist in the company’s compliance with applicable law.
4. Provides support to the SVP, CLO & General Counsel to manage projects, prepare presentations and approval requests, and create other reporting materials for Executive Leadership.
Client:
5. Provides support to lawyers, involving such activities as developing, organizing, and maintaining files; and preparing communications and filings.
6. Coordinates requests directed to the Law Department and performs follow-up as directed.
7. Performs various miscellaneous functions, such as opening and distributing mail, screening calls, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings and conferences.

9. Assists with developing and implementing processes for the efficient management of matters.
10. Assists with managing outside counsel, via e-billing tools for budgeting and payments.
11. Establish and maintain confidential legal files record systems, and official documents
12. Organizes and disposes of records according to established retention procedures.
Education:
13. Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of support staff experience in a corporate law department or law firm, including:
14. Initiative, organization, resourcefulness, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
15. Proven legal project management skills
16. Excellent communication skills
