Head of National Accounts
In this newly created role, the Head of National Accounts at Catalyst Property Finance will oversee and manage relationships with the company's key national clients, including brokers, packagers, networks and clubs.
This leadership role will focus on driving growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining the company's competitive edge in the UK bridging and specialist finance market.
The role will also involve strategic business development, potential team management, and ensuring that the lending criteria and operational processes align with business and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Relationship Management:
* Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key national accounts
* Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, providing expert advice on bridging finance solutions
* Ensure exceptional customer service and support by understanding clients' needs and delivering bespoke bridging solutions
2. Business Development & Growth:
* Identify new opportunities to expand Catalyst’s national accounts portfolio, through both direct relationships and partnerships with brokers and intermediaries
* Work with the sales and marketing teams to create and implement strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes to identify growth opportunities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the BDM team to ensure high performance and client satisfaction
* Set targets and KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and provide ongoing support and coaching
* Work closely with internal departments, such as underwriting and servicing, to ensure smooth execution of deals and adherence to internal processes
4. Product and Service Innovation:
* Ensure that the company’s bridging loan products meet the needs of the national accounts
* Provide insights into client requirements and market demand to help shape future product offerings
* Continuously evaluate the company’s service delivery to identify areas for improvement and enhance client experience
* Ensure that all deals and client relationships comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines
* Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure all deals are thoroughly assessed and meet risk management standards
* Ensure that the company’s lending criteria are adhered to, while still meeting the needs of national clients
6. Financial Performance & Reporting:
* Monitor and report on financial performance for the national account’s portfolio, ensuring targets are met or exceeded
* Prepare regular reports for senior management on the performance of the national accounts and market trends
* Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation for the national accounts team
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in senior sales or relationship management roles within the bridging finance or property finance sector
* Strong understanding of the UK bridging market, including key players, products, and regulations
* Experience managing large, complex accounts and driving business growth
* Background in business development and managing a team to achieve revenue and client satisfaction targets
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial products, particularly bridging loans and short-term finance
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience in setting targets and driving performance
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, MCOB) and compliance standards within the bridging finance sector
* Professional qualifications in finance or lending (e.g., CeMAP, CFA, or equivalent) would be an advantage
* Self-motivated and driven, with a focus on delivering results
* Client-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service
* Strong leadership capabilities and team-oriented mindset
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Remuneration:
* Car allowance £6k per annum
* Performance-related bonuses
