Our multi-award-winning Lender Finance Team is a busy, fast-paced practice at Lightfoots Solicitors.
Lightfoots has been operating for 175 years, and we continue to grow, seeking to add further talent to our teams.
Due to our ongoing success, we are looking for Licensed Conveyancers and/or Solicitors specializing in residential conveyancing or commercial property transactions. Your role will involve advising mainly lender clients on all aspects of buying and selling, including bridging loans, buy-to-let, commercial, and development transactions, as well as legal issues, finances, and contracts.
We also welcome applications from experienced conveyancers who have not yet qualified.
What will you be doing?
* Handling files for both freehold and leasehold properties from instruction to completion, ensuring all enquiries are addressed, title issues resolved, searches conducted and verified, and mortgage conditions satisfied.
* Acting as a mentor for junior solicitors and conveyancing assistants, managing more complex transactions.
* Preparing contracts and supporting documents.
* Checking official copy documents.
* Liaising with clients, agents, borrowers, asset managers, and other stakeholders.
* Managing post-completion issues to ensure accurate closure.
* Using case management systems daily.
* Handling client billing accurately and promptly.
Skills & Experience
* Experience with buy-to-let, leasehold properties, and residential conveyancing transactions.
* Ability to work under pressure, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
* Proactive with commercial and financial awareness.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a true team ethos.
* At least 2 years’ PQE and experience in residential or commercial conveyancing; applications from experienced conveyancers without formal qualifications are also encouraged.
This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, based in Thame, Oxfordshire. We offer an optional hybrid working model of three days in the office and two days remote.
