About the Role
The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Manager.
The purpose of the role is to grow the geographical portfolio of your designated postcodes by selling MHE equipment to new and existing customers in the Southwest, covering ST, TF, WV, DY, B, WS postcodes.
This position is suited to a highly motivated, driven individual who excels in face-to-face customer interactions. The candidate must have the ability to prospect for new business and work effectively within a team environment.
The individual should be confident, energetic, disciplined, and precise in record keeping.
Responsibilities
1. Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
2. Manage your customer database via the CRM system.
3. Achieve your annual sales targets to increase revenue and profits through the sale of new and used trucks across all product ranges.
4. Identify new routes to market through prospecting, networking, and strategic planning aligned with company objectives.
5. Conduct detailed application site surveys when necessary.
6. Order and process ancillary items, attachments, batteries, etc.
Candidate Requirements
* Good IT skills, including MS Office suite (Excel, Word).
* Ability to work remotely and as part of a team.
* Enjoy selling and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in MHE or capital equipment sales is advantageous.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
