About the Role Kindsight are recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker for a stable, well-established EBD childrens home in Burton on Trent. This home has been operating for over 3 years, with strong leadership, a supportive team, and a warm, nurturing environment for the young people who live there.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated night team providing safety, stability, and emotional support during the most vulnerable hours. The role is ideal for someone calm, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people with complex needs.
What Youll Be Doing Providing overnight supervision, safety and emotional support to young people
Working in a positive, respectful and empowering way at all times
Supporting young people with routines, emotional regulation and bedtime/wake-up needs
Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and nightly records
Ensuring the home remains safe, clean and settled throughout the night
Being part of a friendly, committed team working towards shared outcomes
Promoting independence, self-care skills and positive routines
Building trusting relationships that help young people feel safe, valued and understood
What Were Looking For Experience working with children or young people (residential care desirable)
Good understanding of child development, trauma and emotional needs
Full UK driving licence (manual)
Ability to stay calm, professional and consistent during challenging situations
Confidence to communicate clearly and build positive relationships
Ability to maintain accurate written and verbal records
A caring, patient and resilient personality
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Residential Childcare) are desirable or a willingness to work towards them
