Please note, this is a shift role with the following details:
* Shifts - 4 Shifts On, 4 Shifts Off
* Rotating between Days and Nights (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)
* Hybrid work: at least 2 shifts based in our Cardiff City Centre office
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be part of a team providing IT support to over 500 colleagues. Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer service, managing the helpdesk system effectively, and providing both hands-on support and supervision.
Responsibilities include:
* Processing service desk tickets at 1st Line level
* Responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly
* Analyzing impact of requests and system changes to inform decisions
* Answering calls and raising tickets
* Managing IT ticket queues and resolving within SLA
* Escalating incidents to 2nd Line when necessary
* Deploying client software into test environments
* Completing operational tasks such as media management, reporting, and scheduled checks
* Communicating proactively to manage customer expectations
Requirements:
* Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with end-users, staff, and suppliers
* Basic knowledge of IT support and end-user support
* Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop (Windows 10/11, Office 365)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Server (Server 2019/2022)
* Experience with Microsoft Server Applications (Intune)
* Understanding of ITIL processes
* Experience working in a busy IT Service Desk environment
