About the Role
8. Ensure all materials are accounted for; tack and weld materials together as per engineering drawing to the highest standard and quality
9. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, particularly welding symbols
10. Understanding of Lean Principles & methodology.
11. Ability to work within a team environment and able to use own initiative
12. Complying with current and future Health & Safety laws, processes and procedures

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
20. Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
21. Be able to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables and other measuring instruments specialized to the job or industry.
22. Must have 1-3 years’ work experience, preferably welding in a heavy equipment environment
23. Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment and decision making skill
24. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly
25. Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at one time
26. Good verbal and written communication skills
27. Ability to work with minimal guidance
28. Ability to drive quality improvements
29. Ability to meet given targets
30. Knowledge of H & S procedures & responsibilities
31. Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
