Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of materials handling and related equipment looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base across the SL, TW, UB & GU postcodes. Responsibilities
* Managing an existing client base across the SL, TW, UB & GU postcodes
* Business development across the same area
* Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for forklift hire
* Sell a variety of Material Handling products and related equipment
* Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of material handling products
Requirements
There is no set background for this role, but the company is keen on speaking to individuals with a strong sales background, hire/rental or general financial understanding given that the role is focused on contract hire of material handling equipment. The company is also open to candidates outside of material handling if the individual comes from another relevant sales background with good numerical, administration, communication, and literacy skills. Ultimately, the company is looking for confident, driven, and energetic yet disciplined individuals with professionalism and a long-term aim of having a sales management career.
