Hamberley Care Homes is looking for a Care Assistant (Homemaker) to provide compassionate, personalised support at Lovell Place – a luxury care home offering residential, dementia and nursing care in Patchway, Bristol.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily personal care and assistance to residents, including grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
* Administer medication and assist with medical tasks under supervision.
* Help with meal preparation, feeding and arrange family meals or outing visits.
* Record observations and contribute to residents’ care plans.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
* Build trusting relationships with residents and support them with social and recreational activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Passion, empathy, and dedication to helping residents live fully.
* Experience as a healthcare assistant, care assistant, domiciliary caregiver or similar role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn and develop.
Working Pattern
* 12‑hour shifts with alternating weekend duties on a rota basis.
