Based onsite at our Mallusk facility, the Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, testing, fault-finding, repair, and preparation of medical devices and equipment prior to deployment or return to service.
You'll work with a high degree of independence while remaining closely connected to service, logistics, and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Bench testing, diagnostics, repair, calibration, and preparation of medical equipment
* Investigating faults and implementing effective technical solutions
* Creating, reviewing, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Maintaining accurate service, test, and compliance records
* Supporting quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
* Coaching and mentoring junior engineers or colleagues where required
* Liaising with internal teams to ensure equipment readiness and customer satisfaction
* Using internal systems to track work, parts, and service activity (Salesforce experience advantageous, Microsoft Office Suite experience essential)

Essential attributes:
* Background in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Electrical/Electronic technical discipline
* Ability to work off your own initiative and manage workload independently
* Strong customer-focused mindset, even in a non-customer-facing role
* Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
* Comfortable documenting work and contributing to process improvement
* Willingness and capability to coach, mentor, and share technical knowledge
Desirable:
* Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment
* Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM/service management systems
* Experience creating or improving SOPs or technical documentation
