37.5 hrs per week - 24 hours rotating shift pattern

Band 8a £50,952-£57,349 -plus USH

The post will focus on delivery of Trust KPIs, lead on strategies to manage Surge & escalation, engage with both internal & external system partners to ensure accurate data & info is shared.

As a key member of the Ops Team, you will provide out of hours senior management support to all service lines inc. PTS, Urgent Care Services, Support Services, EOC & external contacts & be the lead point of contact for on-day service issues, impacting on daily service delivery & escalations to health care & other emergency services partners. Successful applicants will receive training & development to gain the necessary skills & knowledge to perform the role to a high standard.

Possess Master's Degree/equivalent post grad qualification level or demonstrate an equivalent level of experience & of ongoing CPD.

Significant senior level leadership experience in a complex environment is essential & a sound understanding of the challenges facing the Ambulance sector & the wider health agenda, coupled with strong IT skills. Applicants will be able to demonstrate experience of working across a range of organisations to achieve significant change, leading public &stakeholder engagement & supporting development of strategic & service plans.

Lead with RSD & NEASUS the planning & scheduling of resources

Take tactical decisions to correct performance metrics that fall outside the agreed operational thresholds

Configure resources in collaboration with the Resource Centre, Divisional Leadership Teams & EOC to deliver the required Nationally mandated & contractual targets

Communicate with key external stakeholders to identify & resolve dynamic issues in day-to-day ops

Make effective decisions on behalf of NEAS that affect patient care, the public, staff & the Service using well-informed judgement & when necessary in collaboration with a range of stakeholders

A role model leader by demonstrating effective & appropriate behaviours in day-to-day operations and in high risk, difficult & distressing situations

Lead & regulate all internal/external performance/surge conference calls to ensure all contributors to service delivery are fully briefed of requirements Manage the actions required to optimise performance

Identify potential projects/efficiencies/gaps, tasking service lines to address issues

Build/maintain effective internal & external relationships/partnerships

Provide information on service performance, working with the Performance team and EOC staff inc. (not exhaustive):

Daily performance update for the Trust

Managing escalation through the CSP

Intraday analysis of performance with actions taken

Details of incidents/ events & Serious Untoward Incidents
