Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier, is looking for an Electronic Architect to join them on a contract basis.

Role Details:
* Applicants must be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance due to the nature of the role.
* 6-month initial contract, with the possibility of extension.
* Location: Stevenage, with hybrid working options (possible to be based out of Bristol or Bolton).
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems, including:
* Specifying and determining system electrical requirements
* Interface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment
* Power architecture, including power budget and profiles
* Data communication and processing architecture
* Requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening
* Signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals
* Supporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification, and integration
* Reviewing and authoring reports, guidelines, and processes
* Design assessments and analysis
* Working to defence/industry standards
* Attending and supporting design reviews
Alternatively, acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s) that are part of a missile or launcher system, you will:
* Project manage the equipment(s) during development, qualification, and manufacture
* Own the requirements for the equipment(s) on behalf of the project
* Produce Statements of Work for the design authority for the equipment(s)
* Create and update plans showing activities for the equipment(s)
* Manage internal and external design authorities to deliver hardware, software, and deliverables on schedule, within budget, and to quality and performance standards
* Hold regular progress reviews with the design authority
* Track and resolve equipment non-compliances
* Attend and support design reviews
Skillset/Experience required:
* Electrical/electronics knowledge
* Understanding of defence/industry standards
* Degree-level qualification in a related subject
* Experience in report writing
Experience within a defence-related background is preferred, but experience in other engineering industries will also be considered. Additional areas of experience are of interest but not essential.
