Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Joinery Estimator & Quantity Surveyor role located in Sidcup, working closely with the Sales Team and Clients, responsible for preparation of BOQ schedules, design take offs, accurate cost estimates and planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Project review: Analyse project requirements, review design detail and specification, design material take-off and schedules
* Cost estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, and provide accurate pricing for joinery and kitchen designs, materials, and labour.
* Client engagement: Work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to review designs and ensure estimates align with project specifications and budgets. Address client inquiries regarding pricing and provide clear explanations of cost breakdowns.
* Supply chain collaboration: Source and negotiate prices with suppliers for materials, fixtures, and appliances to secure competitive pricing.
* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates, proposals, and quotations.
* Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and product innovations to maintain competitive and accurate estimations.
* Quality Control: Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, policies, and client requirements.
Qualifications
* Experience in Joinery projects and Kitchen furniture design
* Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills
* BOQ preparation and Cost Reporting skills
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in healthcare construction
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
