Job Description
CHP Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Travel to customer sites across the UK to carry out routine servicing and first-response breakdowns on CHP units ranging from 30kW to 500kW
* Perform a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional overnight stays depending on site location
* Produce detailed site service reports, clearly identifying faults, remedial actions, and improvement opportunities
* Liaise effectively with customers, service coordinators, and the wider technical team to ensure smooth service delivery
* Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to the wider technical support function
* Support internal and customer training activities where required
* Maintain strict health & safety standards, including completion of risk assessments and method statements
* Act as a professional brand ambassador, representing the business to a high technical and ethical standard
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years experience as a CHP Service or Maintenance Engineer, or within a closely related power generation role
2. Strong practical knowledge of LTHW hot water systems, including pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T, boilers, and BMS interfaces
3. Solid electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systems
