Fieldwork Project Manager
Futureheads have partnered with a high-growth digital insights agency is hiring a Fieldwork Project Manager to take ownership of fieldwork delivery across brand tracking and ad hoc research projects. You will work closely with project managers and internal teams, coordinate suppliers and participants, and keep everything running smoothly from start to finish. This is a remote role with some client travel, offering a base salary of £35k and real scope for growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the set up, coordination, and delivery of fieldwork across multiple brand tracking and ad hoc projects
* Work with management to prepare realistic fieldwork plans, budgets, and schedules that align with overall project goals
* Ensure all elements of fieldwork run smoothly and efficiently, including sample design, recruitment, scripting, data collection, and quality control
* Support wider project management by helping to plan, track, and communicate activities across internal teams and suppliers
* Monitor progress closely, flag risks early, and troubleshoot issues to keep projects on track
* Provide clear and timely updates to both internal teams and clients on progress, challenges, and next steps
* Contribute to client meetings and workshops by ensuring actions are captured and followed through
* Coordinate external partners and suppliers, ensuring they deliver to spec, on budget, and on time
* Allocate resources effectively across projects, balancing workloads and deadlines
* Maintain oversight of research operations, ensuring robust governance and data integrity
* Support with recruitment and onboarding of temporary fieldwork staff as needed
* Carry out financial tracking for fieldwork components, providing input into broader project budgets
* Act as the day to day point of contact for clients and suppliers on fieldwork matters
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring confidence in delivery
* Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues promptly and diplomatically
* Support the development of case studies and internal learnings that showcase successful fieldwork delivery
* Run regular team checkins to align on project status, upcoming deadlines, and issue resolution
What You’ll Need
* Proven expertise in fieldwork management, from recruitment and supplier management to data collection oversight
* Strong project management and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Analytical thinker with a structured, methodical approach to problem solving
* Hands on experience managing multi-country or multi-method research fieldwork, with experience in brand tracking or continuous research
* Track record of delivering projects in partnership with both internal teams and external suppliers
* Skilled at running team meetings and client-facing workshops
* Familiarity with risk management and troubleshooting in fieldwork contexts
* Competent in producing and interpreting data outputs, statistics, and progress reports
* Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Keynote skills a plus
* Interest in data-driven insights and continuous improvement of fieldwork processes
* Exposure to project management approaches such as Scrum, Lean, Kanban, or Prince II
* Previous experience in a market research fieldwork or project management role
* Experience in UX or user research projects is desirable but not essential
