As a key member of our engineering team, we are looking for a talented individual with a wide range of professional skills. The role requires the individual to be working on and controlling multiple projects with a keen eye to ensure deadlines are achieved.

Key responsibilities:
The role will include both project and proposal work
Projects will be executed across all phases of projects including Concept Studies, FEED and Detailed Design.
Project work will include development of Instrument Engineering deliverables as required on a project by project basis reporting to Instrument Engineering Manager.
Assist in developing internal procedures, work instructions and guidance notes for compliance to legislation and efficient execution of projects.
Support young Engineers in their development.
8+ years’ experience working as an Instrument Engineer in the Process sector.
Chartered or working toward Chartered status (preferable but not essential).
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (preferable but not essential). ).
Experience of leading the Instrument discipline on various sizes of project.
Comfortable preparing man hour estimates for Instrument scopes based on an outline scope of work
Experienced in controlling budget and schedule for Instrument activities
Experienced in specification, technical bid analysis and requisitioning of field instrumentation and analysers
Experienced in selection and specification of control system hardware (PLC, DCS, SIS)
Knowledge of Instrument requirements for mechanical packages
Experience in Functional Safety including, knowledge of BS EN 61511, development Functional Safety Management Plan, participation in Safety Reviews, development of SRS/SIL Calculations and verification and validation activities
Experience with exSILentia for preparing SIL Calculations (preferable but not essential)
TUV or similar Functional Safety Engineer qualification
Competent to work with hazardous area designs
CompEx Ex12 qualified (preferable but not essential).
Control Panel Design (incl. CE assessment/testing, ATEX certification & FAT) – preferable
