This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Management Team. You will play a key role in delivering support to City Council tenants affected by the cost-of-living crisis. As part of the City Council’s ‘Help is at Hand Campaign', which ensures that everyone has access to a financial MOT, you will be working alongside key partners, charitable and voluntary agencies to achieve positive outcomes. The Income Advice Service is widely recognised as a high performing and dynamic team having maximised the income of tenants by more than £6.5m since April 2020. You will need to possess excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate organisational skills to manage a varied caseload. Knowledge of Welfare Benefits and the Welfare Reform Act is required along with experience of conducting complex and sensitive interviews with customers.
