This a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join our high-growth weather Saas and API business as Legal Counsel.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll provide commercial legal support and strategic guidance to the business across the variety of diverse customers and markets. This is a rare opportunity to work with a hugely successful and rapidly growing commercial weather company with ambitious growth plans.
This new role of Legal Counsel has been created in order to support the future expansion of the business and offers a highly varied, rewarding and pivotal position within MetDesk.
You will have the option of working from our offices in Wendover, hybrid or remote working to be agreed. MetDesk offers a competitive salary package based on experience and company profit-share scheme.
This is a dynamic, hands-on position opportunity to become an important part of the fastest growing commercial weather forecasting company in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
·Structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating often complex customer deals for professional weather services predominantly with customers and business partners in Europe and the USA
·Providing legal guidance and support to the business when responding to formal tenders
·Advising on legal implications of customer requirements, commercial issues and third-party relationships
·Advising on topical business issues and key initiatives
·Advising on new product / service / feature launches
·Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business
·Providing support and guidance on issues such as data privacy
·Coordinating formal legal proceedings where required
About You
·Experienced commercially minded lawyer who is comfortable dealing with often technically complex subject material
·Deep understanding of key commercial agreements used in international business
·Highly detail attentive and excellent negotiation skills
·Commercially aware and well-organised
·Excellent communicator in written and verbal English
·UK-qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment
