Technical Hardware Lead – 12-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Next-Generation Civilian Aerospace Program (Non-Defence)
Hybrid Working – by Henley-on-Thames
Are you an experienced hardware engineering leader looking to take charge of cutting-edge technology within a next-generation aerospace environment? We’re supporting an innovative organisation near Henley-on-Thames developing advanced civilian aerospace systems, and they’re seeking a Technical Hardware Lead to drive complex subsystem and system-level projects from concept through validation to work on a hybrid 12 months basis.
This is a rare opportunity to influence technical strategy, shape engineering best practice, and lead a high-performing hardware team—while contributing directly to a pioneering new aerospace platform.
Why This Role Stands Out
As the Technical Hardware Lead, you’ll hold genuine technical authority. You’ll guide architecture, design, validation, and cross-functional integration while ensuring every subsystem meets stringent performance, reliability, and compliance targets.
This role offers a powerful blend of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and team development, giving you the space to mentor engineers, uplift processes, and embed high-quality engineering across the organisation.
