I’m partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturer in Scotland to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who will play a key role in keeping high-performing production lines running safely and efficiently. This is an opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in this particular site, with this role being available as a direct result of that investment, and they're also looking to upgradetechnology, machinery and importantly, standards within the Engineering department. What's on Offer? Salary: £50,000 Shift: Week 1: Mon - Fri, 6-2:30pm Week2: Mon - Tue, 6-2:30pm then sat & Sun: 6-6pm Week3: Mon – Fri, 2-10pm Average 40hr week, only 1 weekend in 3 and no night shift. Additional: Legitimate scope for serious progression and numerous wider group opportunities The Role As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of a wide range of production machinery and site infrastructure. You’ll be working as part of a close-knit engineering team, supporting both reactive and preventative maintenance activities. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs on production equipment (including conveyors, packaging machinery and processing equipment). * Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and keep production moving smoothly. * Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery and assisting with automation and control system upgrades. * Recording all maintenance work in line with internal and regulatory standards. * Ensuring all activities comply with health & safety requirements, IEE Wiring Regulations, and food safety standards (including BRC and HACCP). * Taking part in CI initiatives, audits, inspections and root-cause analysis. * Supervising contractors when required and collaborating with production teams to deliver improvements. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: * NVQ Level 3, or similar in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline. * Proven engineering experience within a manufacturing environment. * Electrical and automation knowledge, including PLC understanding. * Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics confidently. * Experience with preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement principles (e.g., Kaizen, TPM). * A self-motivated, organised approach with strong communication abilities.
