Job Title: Paint Shop Supervisor
EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy Paint Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Paint Shop facility to maintain a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery
* Oversee daily operations of the paint shop team.
* Provide advice and guidance on all paint shop operations, including blasting, prepping, painting, and repairs.
* Coach and mentor staff to develop skills.
* Estimate painting times, staffing, and costs to maximize efficiency.
* Develop and improve manufacturing methods with regard to health & safety and quality standards.
* Plan workspace utilization.
* Ensure quality checks are completed before and after jobs.
* Minimize re-work requirements.
* Coordinate with the Fitting Shop to meet production targets.
* Report progress regularly to the Production Manager.
* liaise with management on production capabilities and schedules.
* Monitor and record performance metrics to improve efficiencies.
* Streamline purchasing to reduce costs and deliveries.

* Support staff in achieving KPIs and professional development.
* Address performance issues constructively.

* Ensure the Paint Shop operates efficiently within financial targets.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree with 2-3 years supervisory experience in a similar industry.
* Hands-on painting experience with heavy machinery.
* Desirable: Management/Leadership qualification and experience managing a Paint Shop.
