Lecturer- Child/ Health & Social Care Part time hours 19.5 hours - Monday to Thursday - £17,949 to £22,588 - Holiday Entitlement - 42 Days per annum pro rata, Closing date: 11th July 2025 @ Midday.

Working over 4 days per week Monday 8.45am to 12.45pm, Tuesday 8.45am to 12.45pm ,Wednesday 8.45am to 13.45pm and Thursday 8.15am- 15.45pm this role roughly equates to 13 hours face to face teaching and 19.5 hours on site.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hertford Regional College. We are recruiting 3 candidates over the Childcare & Health and Social Care provision to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at our state-of-the-art facilities in the Broxbourne campus. Working with Students in Childcare & Health and Social Care will give you the opportunity to support and guide students to become caring and compassionate industry experts of the future. Our Students really benefit from learning from teachers first hand experience of working in the sector whilst learning how to use their own personal experience to develop skills and the qualities needed in the industry.

About The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to deliver a comprehensive range of professional services related to teaching, learning, assessment, and student support. You will teach Health and Social Care or Childcare units at levels 1 through 5, across full-time programmes, including Access to HE, FD in Early Years, and the HND in Health and Social Care.

About You

You will have demonstrable experience within Childcare / Health and Social Care setting or experience teaching Childcare / Health and Social Care within an FE/HE environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Teacher training qualification such as a PGCE or DTLLS, or willingness to complete in a specified timeframe, and GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above. You will be passionate about teaching, with excellent interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
