We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator with experience in multi-modal transport operations. This role is ideal for someone who has intermodal experience, particularly in managing the transfer and booking of rail containers and barges from ships. Day-to-day of the role
* Coordinate and manage the booking of rail containers and barges directly from ships.
* Monitor and track the movement of goods through different transportation modes to ensure timely delivery.
* Liaise with shipping lines, rail companies, and barge operators to ensure smooth transitions and adherence to schedules.
* Handle documentation related to multi-modal transport operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
* Resolve any issues that arise during the transport process, such as delays or damages.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams, to ensure clear information flow and coordination.
Qualifications
* Experience in logistics coordination, preferably with intermodal transport.
* Strong understanding of multi-modal transportation processes, including rail and barge operations.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Proficient in using logistics software and systems for tracking and documentation.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges.
