An experienced and supportive team
Here at Mearley Vets we have a wonderful team, a fantastic client base and we work from bright, spacious practices! Our team is made up of 2 Clinical Directors, 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 RVN’s, 2 Student nurses, 1 VCA & 14 Admin and support staff. Our team members all have their own interests from equine, small animal surgery and exotics. One of our vets has a certificate in radiography and an interest in orthopaedics and another vet is hoping to start an exotics certificate shortly.
About us
Our sites are well maintained, and the buildings are light and spacious. The practice is RCVS accredited and clinical standards are exceptionally high. We are also very proud to be a nurse training practice. Our two main sites are well equipped with full diagnostic and surgical facilities, incorporating in house lab, diagnostic ultrasound, digital radiography, dental machines, tonometers, and endoscopy. We are a group of three surgeries (1 consult only) offering predominantly small animal and equine first opinion care. We have a varied caseload, and no two days are the same! Although we do have an equine caseload this would be your choice to, or not to, be involved with. We see a good mixture of small animal consultations and surgeries including routine, preventative care and some ECC, we even see some wildlife from time to time.
Here's what the team have to say about life at Mearley
“Even with doing my Veterinary degree in England, moving to the North West absolutely terrified me. I knew nobody in the area and being an American did not really prepare me for working and living up here. After my first week at Mearley's, I became part of the family. Everyone was looking out for me both in starting out in vet med and my wellbeing with being so far from home. The clients have also taken to welcoming me as well. I've been told I already have a following for the "American lad". The practice may be part of IVC but there's no micromanaging of vets. We all are able to practice independently, whilst receiving support and encouragement in further development of our careers and specialities.” Chase, Veterinary Surgeon.
