Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship - Level 5 - Bumpers Nursery
Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Bumpers Nursery as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice as a Room Lead.
We nurture children in a safe, secure, caring environment according to their individual interests and needs.
We will provide care to support every child's potential and ability and encourage children to express themselves in their feelings, words and creativity.
To support this we have developed many different ways to do this, for example: we encourage painting with all different colours, shapes and toys to create interesting designs for the children to engage with.
We also have a water play station in hope to help the children gain confidence, and pursue group reading, dancing, quiet time, sensory areas, dress up & sand play.
These are just some of the many things we like to introduce the children to.
Everyday we take the children on walks to the park, visit a local nursing home, explore Trowbridge Museum, shop for their own fruit and veg, and look after our around town.
We believe this enables them to explore the outdoors, build their skills, and learn about nature.
Some of the activities we partake in include, playing in the park, visiting the bug home, finding insects and animals - learning about them and what they do
Finding pinecones, conkers, lots of other things we can take back to the Nursery to paint and play with
To ensure we keep your children safe, everyone wears Hi-Vis jackets, we also make sure everyone has a partner that they hold hands with while walking up to our destination. Raincoats and wellies are always supplied if necessary.
Your roles and responsibilities will include;
* Manage the day to day running of baby room or preschool room (whichever room would suit the applicants' skills
* Must be passionate about early years education and are dedicated to providing high-quality care and guidance to children
* Implement the processes and procedures, health and safety and safeguarding ensuring they keep the children safe and well cared for
* Plan and implement the days activities
* Adhere to staff ratios within the setting
* Completing the children's observations and updating the parents with progress
* Providing activities that support the interests of the children
* Setting up the room and daily activities
* Leading, managing and mentoring the team of practitioners
* Managing the staff supervisions
* Under talking all aspects of personal care and helping at mealtimes, including feeding and nappy changing
Hours;
* Bumpers Nursery are open between the hours of 08:30-17:30
* Working hours will be between 40 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed
Requirements;
* Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role
* GCSE's A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
* Must be able to obtain clear DBS
* Experience in a similar role is essential
