About the role We’re looking for an experienced Outbound Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our early shift operation (06:00–14:00, Monday to Friday) at our Bordesley Green site. You’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of outbound activities, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, safely, and on time. This is a hands‑on leadership role, focused on driving performance, developing people, and continuously improving outbound processes to meet service, productivity, and quality targets. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse leadership experience, a proactive mindset, and a passion for safe, efficient operations. Site location Bordesley Green, B9 4UA Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing the outbound team on the 6am–2pm shift to deliver daily operational plans. Overseeing pick, pack, and dispatch processes to ensure accuracy, speed, and SLA adherence. Monitoring workload and productivity through the shift, re‑prioritising tasks as needed. Coaching, supporting, and developing section leaders and warehouse operatives. Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards, safe systems of work, and housekeeping. Managing shift resource and labour planning, including absence management and cover. Tracking and reporting key KPIs (productivity, accuracy, damages, service levels) and taking corrective action where required. Investigating and resolving outbound issues, including mispicks, damages, and dispatch delays. Driving continuous improvement activity across outbound.
