Salary Band: £25,500 – £28,000 FTE Per Annum (pro rata)
Part Time Hours: 25.5 per week (must be available to work a Saturday)

About the role
Join ONSIDE to support children and young people (aged 0‑25 years) with mental health and wellbeing. A Wellbeing & Emotional Support Practitioner works with children and young people to provide early intervention, preventative emotional wellbeing and mental health services, teaching skills and techniques for managing their own emotional wellbeing, confidence and self‑esteem. This enables them to cope better with stress, anxiety and life challenges, helping them to participate fully in life.
This vacancy is for 25.5 hours per week to be worked on Wednesday 9am‑5pm (flexibility on hours can be considered on this day), Thursday 11:30am‑7pm (flexibility on hours can be considered on this day), Friday 9am‑4:30pm, and every other Saturday 9am‑1pm.

* Experience of working with children and young people, ideally in a behavioural change or support role context.
* Proven ability to identify and understand individual needs, inspire change, build rapport and be creative in your approach.
* Ability to equip children & young people with tools and techniques to manage low level mental ill health, improve confidence and create a personalised plan to address issues that negatively impact their lives.
* Passion for ensuring children and young people have access to the support and interventions needed to improve their lives, putting their best interests at the heart of everything you do.
