Role: Family Network (Senior) Support Worker

Salary: £38,934 – £40,755 per annum

Exciting new opportuinity for adedicatedFamily Network (Senior) Support Worker in Ilford. This role involves working alongside Social Workers, Family Support Workers, and multi-agency teams to deliver targeted support and interventions for children and families involved in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will take a lead role in developing and delivering specialist interventions, including parenting programmes, direct work with children, and domestic abuse support. You will also hold a complex caseload, working independently and alongside Social Workers to ensure that SMART, effective, and timely interventions are in place to support positive family outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on the development and delivery of parenting programmes for victims, perpetrators, and children affected by domestic abuse.
* Design and implement direct work tools and interventions for children and young people, including those at risk of exploitation.
* Work collaboratively with Social Workers and Family Support Workers to provide bespoke, evidence-based interventions for children and families.
* Ensure that all interventions are aligned with statutory timescales, working in corroboration with Child Protection and Court Plans.
* Support the Service Manager in identifying service needs and developing interventions to meet demand.
* Hold a caseload of families requiring intensive intervention and support, working both independently and alongside Social Workers.
* Take lead responsibility for cases involving Supervision Orders, ensuring compliance with the Local Authority’s duty to advise, assist, and befriend the child.
* Provide one-to-one and group support to families facing complex challenges, promoting positive parenting and family resilience.
* Support families at risk of crisis, ensuring timely intervention to prevent family breakdown and escalation into statutory care.
* Work in close collaboration with social care teams, education, health, police, and voluntary sector partners to ensure families receive coordinated support.
* Represent the service in multi-agency meetings, safeguarding discussions, and case conferences.
* Undertake Return Home Interviews for children who have been missing from home or care, ensuring timely and effective responses.
* Gather and analyse service user feedback, ensuring the voice of children and families informs service development.
* Ensure all work is documented accurately and in compliance with statutory requirements.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service by sharing best practice and supporting team learning and development.

What We’re Looking For:
* Recognised relevant qualification (i.e. NNEB, NVQ 3 or approved equivalent)
* A recognised/accredited qualification in family intervention programmes
* Significant experience of working with children and families
* Experience of working with child protection issues
* Experience of working one to one with children, young people and their families in their home
